Privacy Policy
How Moose Calling 101 collects, uses and protects your information — including hunt locations and practice recordings.
Overview
This policy explains what Moose Calling 101 collects, why it is collected and the choices you have. It applies to the mobile app, this website and any related services operated by Boomers Thrive AB.
Read it alongside our Terms & Conditions and End User Licence Agreement.
Information we collect
We collect only what the app needs to work and to improve.
- Account details — name, email address and password, plus anything you choose to add to your profile.
- Hunt data — sightings, tracks, hunt logs, saved locations, notes and conditions you record.
- Audio recordings — call attempts you record in the practice tools.
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system, app version, crash reports and feature usage.
- Group content — messages and updates you share with a hunt group.
How we use your information
We use your information to run the service, keep your data in sync across devices, deliver practice feedback, show relevant field and weather context, respond to support requests and diagnose faults.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your hunt locations for advertising.
Location data
Location is used to place sightings and saved locations on the map, show local conditions and support group features. Precise location is collected only while you are using a feature that needs it, and you can revoke the permission at any time in your device settings.
Saved locations are private to your account unless you share them with a group.
Audio recordings
Practice recordings are stored so you can compare attempts over time. They are associated with your account and are not shared publicly. You can delete individual recordings in the app, and deleting your account removes them all.
Sharing and disclosure
We share data only in limited circumstances.
- Service providers — hosting, analytics, crash reporting and email delivery, each bound by contract to process data only on our instructions.
- Your hunt group — content you deliberately share with a group.
- Legal obligations — where we are required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Data retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to keep limited records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.
Anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted and reviewed, and we keep audit logs of administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your device up to date.
Children's privacy
The service is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the policy changes and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.
Questions about this policy or your data: privacy@.com
We respond to privacy requests within 30 days.
